Saturday morning in the Mid North and a bit of a frost
Even with digital photography you don’t really know what you have captured until you get your files back home and view them on the big screen.
This is a picture that I took in a Limestone Cave on a recent holiday just using a simple Olympus XZ1. Maybe it’s me maybe it is the mug of coffee I have just drank? But I can see faces, I can see bodies, I can see a dwarf with Snow Whites body, Snoopy and a girl with flowing hair. I even dream of Jeannie. It ‘s as if someone has melted a heap of Walt Disney celluloid’s and thrown them against the wall of a cave. Except that this has occurred naturally over thousands and thousands of years.
Limestone Disney just add water and limestone and time. Lots and lots of time.
I know you are probably right it is just the coffee !
Every evening as the retreating sun sinks down behind the Camels Hump to beckon the end of another day in a last act of defiance its rays filter through the She Oaks in the front paddock and through the 90 year old glass windows of our farmhouse. As the trees sway in the breeze a wonderful dancing light show appears on the wall of our dining room.
