Thank you for your entry into the 2021 Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year competition.
The competition received 2,206 photographs entered by 403 photographers from 17 countries this year. Our judges Narelle Autio, Trent Parke and Stavros Pippos undertook the challenging task of determining a shortlist of finalists. They commented on how difficult it was to select so few images from such a large number of outstanding photographs. However they also remarked on how much they enjoyed seeing all of the entries. All images were judged without the photographer’s name being revealed.
Unfortunately you were unsuccessful in making the shortlist on this occasion.
The Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year exhibition will be open to the public from Friday 27 August at the South Australian Museum in Adelaide. Details of prizewinners will be announced on the South Australian Museum and Nature Photographer of the Year websites on 27 August and published in the September-October 2021 edition of Australian Geographic.
The South Australian Museum sincerely thanks you for your interest and involvement in the Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year competition for 2021, and hope that you will enter again in future.
Yours sincerely …….
Here let me show what you won’t be seeing on the walls of the gallery if you do happen to visit the exhibition at the South Australian Museum in Adelaide from August 27th 2021
